PREVENTING SUICIDE IN LINCOLNSHIRE
Lincolnshire County Council
An extremely rewarding project for a very important cause, helping to prevent suicide. As the design lead on this project I was responsible for developing a cohesive visual identity for the initiative, including logo design, colour schemes, and typography that resonates with the seriousness and hopefulness of the cause. I created original illustrations to convey empathy, support, and understanding.
These visuals aimed to foster a sense of connection and encourage individuals to seek help. I then designed various digital and print materials such as brochures, posters, and flyers. Ensured that all designs were visually compelling and aligned with the overall brand message.
The project successfully unified a broad range of materials under a cohesive brand identity, making it easier for stakeholders and the public to engage with and support the cause. The visual elements created helped in raising awareness, providing necessary information, and promoting a supportive community around suicide prevention.
WHO I AM COUNTS
Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Charity
Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Charity Trust's project involved designing a collection of clothing, postcards, and merchandise to help fundraise for mental health services within Birmingham. The objective was to create designs that inspire hope, resilience, and positivity for those who may be struggling with mental health issues and to raise awareness and funds for mental health services.
This collection was sold at the largest Primark in the world - in Birmingham UK within a pop up stall!
FREDDIE THE THUMBPRINT
Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Charity
I am proud to have been a part of this project aimed towards children suffering from mental health issues across the West Midlands. My design was intended to be printed on postcards that were to be included in subscription boxes as part of an initiative by the NHS Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital to raise money for the charity.
As part of the project, I created the character "Freddie the Thumbprint" which provided an important friendly face and playful element to the subscription packs. Freddie is a thumbprint character with a range of expressions and quotes that aim to uplift and encourage children who are suffering with mental health issues.
#ThanksKids NHSStars
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust
The #ThanksKids NHSStarrs campaign was an initiative by Rise within NHS England - Coventry and Warwickshire that celebrated and acknowledged the extraordinary contributions of young people who have played a significant role in supporting the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here’s a summary of the campaign:
The campaign aimed to recognise and honour the efforts of children and young people who made a difference in their communities or directly supported NHS services during the pandemic. It involved collecting stories and nominations of young people who demonstrated exceptional kindness, creativity, or bravery in their support of the NHS. This included volunteering, fundraising, or simply spreading positivity.
I was hired to create simple but joyful certificates for the children who were nominated giving them something to cherish forever. The campaign helped boost morale and fostered a sense of community and gratitude among NHS staff and the public and spotlighted the often-overlooked contributions of young people, giving them a platform to be recognised for their efforts.
