National Grid Covid-19 NHS Cards

National Grid | Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a project was initiated to support the hardworking NHS staff at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital. Funded by National Grid, 650 cards were designed and printed as tokens of gratitude and encouragement for the frontline workers. The three card designs are visually uplifting and carry positive, heartwarming messages, aimed at boosting morale during a challenging period.

The Jar of Hearts Card features a mason jar filled with red hearts, with a central heart inscribed with “Sending You Love.” This design symbolises care, compassion, and the collective support from the community.

The Rainbow Card displays a vibrant rainbow with the phrase “You are never alone.” The rainbow, widely recognised as a symbol of hope and solidarity during the pandemic, reassures NHS workers that they are appreciated and supported.

The “You are Amazing!” Card showcases a colourful, wavy design with the bold affirmation, “You are Amazing!” This energetic and vibrant card serves to remind NHS staff of their invaluable efforts and the difference they made during the crisis.

The cards were distributed to staff as a gesture of appreciation, helping to spread positivity and acknowledge the vital role NHS workers played throughout the pandemic. Through this project, the collaboration between National Grid and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity was instrumental in offering emotional support to the healthcare heroes on the front lines.
